    Further Education in County Louth

For a 'Wee County' Louth is very well serviced in terms of further education. Both the main towns in the County have their own Post Leaving Cert College (PLC) so there is coverage across the whole county.

At the Southern end (Drogheda)is Drogheda Institute of Further Education (DIFE)and at the Northern end (Dundalk) O'Fiaich Institute (OFI) Both of these colleges are managed by Louth VEC, which is the main provider of further education in Louth, and have a wide variety of course choices.

Louth also has an excellent Institute of Technology in Dundalk (Dundalk IT - DkIT). This IT offers certificates, degrees and professional development in many areas including Nursing, IT, Business and Media.
